To make the process easier, I offer flexible payment plans that can be paid monthly or bi-monthly, spread across the estimated timeline of your project. All of my prices are in CAD. For the design phase, I use Figma, and for coding, I utilize Visual Studio Code. I specialize in designing and developing WordPress websites, and I use WHC (Web Hosting Canada) for domains and hosting. After your website is complete, you will receive a login and password to upload content yourself, or you can contact me, and I can upload it for you!
Custom Website: $2000
Your website can have a total of 7 pages. The Home page and the Terms of Service page are already included, accounting for 2 of those pages. You can select 5 additional pages from the following options: About, Contact, Gallery, Projects, Policies, or Services. Any additional pages from the list that are not part of the additional 5 will cost an extra $150.
Custom websites from scratch take about 7 to 12 months to develop. Let’s break that down why that is!
Intro Meeting:
- We’ll discuss you and your business.
- I will ask whether you already have a domain name or a hosting service.
- We can talk about any design styles you like.
- We’ll review and discuss the colours you or your business prefer or are interested in.
- I’ll ask whether you prefer serif or sans-serif fonts, and I’ll provide picture examples.
- We’ll cover the type of content you want on your website, such as the home page, services page, projects page, contact page, etc.
- We’ll talk about whether you already have content or if you need assistance with writing it.
- We’ll discuss the use of pictures and videos on your website.
Colour:
After our meeting, I dive into the world of colours and create about 4 to 6 colour pallets. As I gather the colours, I ensure they are colourblind-accessible. Each colour palette starts with 5 colours: font colour, background colour, primary colour, secondary colour, and accent colour. When I start designing the content layout, I might add a few other colours! I will present your colours with a sample layout and use placeholder text so you can get a feel for it.
Meeting:
We will reconvene for you to review the colours and express your preferences and feedback.
Font:
Once we finalize the colours, I will focus on gathering fonts. I will research web-appropriate fonts and compile three sets, each containing 5 to 6 fonts. I will create examples using placeholder text so you can see how the fonts look in action alongside the colours you selected!
Meeting:
We will meet again for you to review the fonts and indicate your preference and feedback.
Content layout:
As soon as I have the perfect colours and fonts locked in, the creative journey truly begins! I focus on establishing a content hierarchy, which ensures that the most important information stands out and naturally guides the viewer through the page. It’s important to maintain consistency and ensure that the design has a visual flow and is easy to read!
Meeting:
As the design begins to emerge and take form, we will schedule our first design iteration meeting. During this meeting, I will refine the design based on your feedback. We will continue this process through a number of revisions (up to 3 revisions) to make sure the final design accurately represents your vision.
Coding:
Once the design is finalized, I can start coding in Visual Studio Code to launch your website on WordPress. This process takes time due to debugging and ensuring the code functions correctly.
Finalize:
After your website is complete, we will meet to review the new design and discuss any necessary adjustments or revisions!
Website Design: $700
If you are working with a developer or are a developer yourself, I would be happy to collaborate by providing the design. I use Figma and Krita to create website layouts, focusing on UX/UI design to ensure an intuitive and engaging user experience. I prioritize content hierarchy, accessibility, and readability, making sure the colour palette is suitable for users who are colour-blind. Throughout the design process, I pay close attention to responsive layouts, visual consistency, and usability, ensuring that the final design is both visually appealing and easy to implement. Website designs typically take 3 to 6 months.
Website Redesign: $500-$1500
If you already have a website and are considering some changes, I’d be excited to collaborate with you! I can help refresh the design, improve usability, enhance the user experience, and ensure that your content is clear and visually engaging. Together, we can update your site to better reflect you and meet your goals. Website redesigns typically take 3 to 8 months.
Monthly upkeep: $30
Maintaining a website can be time-consuming and confusing, especially if you only use it occasionally. I am here to help ensure your website remains up to date! I can handle security updates, manage plugins, perform full website backups (including files and database), clear caches, update PHP, optimize images, and add more content as needed.
Additionally, I can check for broken links and remove outdated information. I can also test forms to ensure they function properly and send submissions to your email. Furthermore, I will test the user experience, verify that navigation, buttons, and links work correctly, and assess responsiveness on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
Graphic Design
